He’s patient, knowledgeable and connects with them each lesson. He modifies the lessons to meet their individual guitar goals. I met first met Grant when he gave lessons to my 10 year old son. We had no expectations that my son would stick with guitar, but because of Grant's style and personality, my son was immediately hooked and progressed quickly. He ended up playing lead guitar in a Middle School Rock Band that played numerous shows around the Bay Area and won a local Battle of the Bands contest. Five years later, my son continues to play and excel at guitar, with Grant continuing to be a teacher and mentor to him. Below is a picture of them from two years ago at a gig.

I personally am an intermediate guitar player and started taking lessons from Grant recently to help myself progress to the next level. Grant was able to size my abilities up quickly, listened to my personal goals, and put together a series of lessons to take me to the next level. It worked!
