We have stayed at several Embassy Suites throughout our travels, and this is by far the best one we have stayed at. The rooms were standard Embassy Suites rooms with a bedroom area with a door closing it off from the sitting area. There was a microwave and small refrigerator. The refrigerator did have a small freezer compartment which was nice to keep any ice packs frozen. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen. The food was continually monitored so it was always fresh, not dried out, and hot. There were also two setups so it was not crowded. Of course they also had the made to order omelets, pancakes and bacon line. That line did get long, but the staff worked quickly and the line moved along at a good pace. The evening reception was also laid out very nicely with the best snacks I have experienced at any of the other Embassy Suites...hummus, vegetables, trail mix, and a petite pita bread. Not to go unmentioned was the over-the-top friendliness of every employee we encountered. Everyone engaged us in conversation as they went about their tasks. I spoke with several other guests and all seemed pleased. This is a good choice when visiting the Monterey area.

We’ve spent a week here showing our kids what’s great about Monterey. The room has been good for our needs. The kids shared the pull-out couch and our king-size bed has been a you’re comfortable. The staff have been awesome - Cleaners, waiters, front desk - all great. George has been especially helpful. He had a day off yesterday and I missed his smiling face. The food has been great, as well. Great selection for breakfast, the happy hour offerings were a hit and the restaurant has delicious dinner options. The location is great for visiting the wharf, Cannery Row, the aquarium, etc. This was our first time staying here and if we come back to Monterey, we’ll definitely book a room here!

A great place to bring family for vacation! The staff was really nice and was always asking how they can help. The indoor pool was nice and warm even at night. A nice big breakfast made fresh with an omelet of your choice. Complimentary snacks and drinks (at a certain time). Pet friendly with a great view of the beach from the balcony. Both my children have special needs (Severe Autism and high on the spectrum)and can be a little noisy at times. No complaints about my children. You can also rent bikes. The beach is about a five minute drive or less. I will definitely come back, possibly this summer! 👏👍

The rooms were really clean, the staff were polite and respectful and the location was great; just 10m away from Carmel-by-the -sea. Not only that, breakfast was included and it was one of the best breakfasts' I've had at a hotel. The eggs were actually fluffy and not dry, the potatoes were amazing, the bacon was great, they had an omelette bar and pancake bar, they had coffee, juices, yogurts, sweets, etc you name it! I would 100% come back again, even just for the breakfast.

We had a great time during our stay! We've stayed here years ago. Although we haven’t been since it was renovated. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to partake in the complementary snacks/drinks in the evening as well as the breakfast in the morning. It was really good, the bartender and chef were friendly! My kids loved the indoor pool! We look forward to future stays in this hotel!!

A great hotel with fantastic staff in the food and drink department. Breakfast was great with a good selection and the bar in the evenings was not only good with the managers reception but also throughout the evenings. Rooms are spacious and we had enough room for an extended stay in the area. The one downside is the cost of parking, it doesn’t make sense why this is the case and just appears an additional tax. Not enough to remove a star because the hotel is great and you know what you’re getting into, but wish they’d just include it in the price.

I reserved three nights on Booking.com which stated no cost the cancel. I phoned the hotel prior to checking in to cancel the last night of a three day stay and the weather forecast had changed with an atmospheric river arriving a day earlier. I was told that a third party had already charged my credit card and there was nothing they could do. I was given a number by Hilton customer service which was a non working number as were the numbers I had received on the emails I received from the reservation. After multiple phone calls and a great deal of aggravation I was told by the manager that she would cancel the last night.|The room we were given had a heating system that was blowing cold air. After trying to adjust the thermostat to no avail we called for help. A worker came to the room with a ladder to work on the vent in the ceiling and said it would soon get warmer. It did not. The next day two other men came to try to fix it and finally said it was 64 degrees and couldn’t be fixed so moved us to another room.|The charge for parking is 20$ a day and also another 15$ destination fee daily which of for internet and can be used to buy that amount of merchandise in the hotel. |The food is the bright spot, it was very good. Also had a three hour power outage so no elevators worked or lights other than in the lobby.

Wonderful experience. First time visitors to Monterey and we really enjoyed our stay. Jackie and her team are very professional , answered all our questions and made wonderful suggestions for things to do in the area. Rooms were always cleaned and very accommodating. Complimentary breakfast is awesome and the crew are really nice and helpful with our elderly family members. We highly recommend a stay at this beautiful location and bet that you’ll receive the great service we experienced.
