J.J. with the El Segundo Arts Academy was everything we could have hoped for in a music instructor - kind, patient, knowledgeable and skilled at making piano fun. My kids started piano lessons when they were 5 and 8 and J.J. was amazing at meeting them where they were - both beginners but with different abilities and different speeds of progression. He was able to tailor learning programs for each of them and foster a love for music while helping them grow confidence in their musical talents. I feel so fortunate that we found J.J. and would highly recommend him to other budding musicians!

My kiddo (piano) and I (guitar) have been taking weekly music lessons for close to 4 years with JJ. It has been a gift and a joy to have JJ’s support.

JJ’s cheery nature, his joy, his astounding skill and fluency with music really inspires us. That he focuses on where our excitement and energy are in a week-to-week way has made our study fun and sustainable even through the pandemic with Zoom lessons.
