Lots of free parking in the back. Beautiful open mat for Save The Brave. Bathroom nice and clean as well as the mats.

Great place to roll. They were very welcoming especially since I was just visiting from out of town. Their students were very knowledgeable in their skills and treated me as if I’ve been going there for awhile. Wanted to give Jose a shout out for letting me drop in and train. The gym was very clean and spacious. If I lived in the area this gym would definitely be my choice.

This is a great place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are gold medal winners and are very good at what they do. The atmosphere is friendly and egos are left at the door. Everyone there is willing to help out the new people and can throttle down as necessary. The kids class teaches the kids to be good sports in addition to working hard.

The whole staff is very welcoming, making you feel right at home. It's just a great environment to train. El Monte Jiu-Jitsu not only provides world-class training, but a family friendly environment and continuous support from the staff and fellow gym mates. Classes are led by Gabriel Almeida, a world class athlete. My first class was free, and then I was hooked.

New BJJ school in El Monte that just recently opened up. It's a Checkmat affiliate and the instructors are black belts under Leo Vieira. Prices are very competitive and the mat space is huge. Since it's new, (and due to COVID) there are very few students so classes feel like small group privates. First class is free so it doesn't hurt to check it out.

Very clean and well lit BJJ academy. Great mat space with a lot of parking in the back. Amazing instruction from professors Jair and Marat.

When I visited, professor Leo Vieira was there teaching fundamentals! It really doesn't get more world class than this! If you're local to the area, you NEED to train at Checkmat in El Monte!
