I really loved my EF experience at EF SBA! All the lessons helped me improve a lot my English, thanks to all my teachers who accompanied me during my stay. I will always remember that my friends and I loved going to West beach every day after school! I definitely recommend this destination. People are super friendly and will always be kind to you.

This is my last day, and I’m so sad to go back in France 😔 It was a so good trip, and I’ve never forget it, If you're hesitant to go, go for it. You will not regret it 😊

Every person working for ef has made this experience nothing but unforgettable. A big shout out to my friends Riley, Nora, Julie, Derek and Chris! Those guys are, for sure, the most kind and helpful people I have ever met. Always doing their best to help every student. I’m so grateful <3

On the good side: The school is really great and the teachers are both friendly and very serious. There are also multiple great activities, very well organized.
On the bad side: Accomodation is really the pain point. The gap between what the sales team tells you in your country and the reality on the ground is enormous : families not available or rather absent, single rooms not available, I had to pay hotel nights by myself with no word or help to be reimbursed etc. It’s a terrible mess and in EF Vancouver as well… Time to find the appropriate software and to put more ressources on that please!

It’s just terrible. Most of the host families, around 90%, are not American but Mexican, and the houses reflect that. The food wasn’t particularly good, and I’ve heard from very few people who actually like their host families. EF pays the host families too little, especially considering we are living in Santa Barbara, which is extremely expensive. I paid €2,000 for a single room but ended up in a triple room (though I did get my money back).

The school itself is okay, but most students are French, and they don’t take school seriously at all—they’re constantly chatting in French during class. For the money, it’s simply a scam and a rip-off.

I had a great time at EF Santa Barbara! The EF staff is so kindle and awesome, and they’re there to help you at anytime! The building is good enough, without being huge. All the classrooms look nice and all of the teachers are good at teaching English, using prepared material to study. You can walk a short distance from the building to the main stores and restaurants because it’s well located. The longer you stay, the more you’ll miss this place, just as I did.

We hosted several students summer 2023 and enjoyed every moment with the girls. EF was easy to communicate with and was a pleasure to work with. Thank you EF for a wonderful experience hosting some of the sweetest girls who have become extended family!!
