I'm about 20 years away from retirement age, but after visiting Dragonfly Pottery, I’m starting to wonder if I should just quit my job and spend the rest of my life shaping clay. The more time I spend there, the more that idea seems... surprisingly reasonable. Absolutely love Dragonfly Pottery. The Ladies that run this place are the best. They offer paint you own pottery, classes for hand building and the potters wheel. They offer a membership with full access to the studio which I have really enjoyed and learned so much. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at pottery I highly recommend

I just finished a fabulous class where I got to make happy, little pumpkins for my own fall decor. She taught us how to form a top and bottom for each pumpkin, then “score and slip” to attach them to each other. Use a wooden tool to press in vertical seams to make the sections, then form and attach a quirky stem. Finally I chose colors for my glaze. I cannot wait to see it once it is fired and finished.

We had a large party of 23. All the supplies were plentiful and paint choices abundant. Instructions were simple and easy to remember. It was enjoyable to be able to create something original and visit with all our friends at the the same time. We brought goodies to share around. That was in the morning. By afternoon texts were flying around asking when we could do it again. We were all surprised at the results of our pottery creations that had evolved as we complained we didn't know how to paint. Took a build your own pumpkin class and had so much fun! The atmosphere and vibes were awesome! The owner was super helpful and really funny too! Will definitely return to take some more classes. Perfect for a night out with your significant other or friends!

Wonderful pottery studio for artists of all ages and abilities. Paint your own or throw your own on the wheel. I see a class in my future. No time to paint this time, but thrilled with the darling bowl I purchased. It was made by the very talented and friendly owner!

Great pottery shop where you can paint your own pottery piece, take classes for throwing on the wheel, or buy something made by the fabulous owner! This shop is a great addition to Ridgecrest, and run by wonderful people. Can't wait to try my hand playing with some clay in the coming weeks.

This is a wonderful shop run by wonderful people! It is family friendly and has classes and opportunities for artists of all levels of experiences! Try the stoneware glazes! They're the best!!!
