Great gym but the 70.00 annual fee were is it going suppose to be to maintain equipment but the mens shower has been closed for 6 months, the sauna bench is missing a nail, the pool has been closed for ages. Owner needs to take more pride in ownership. But staff and the atmosphere is great.

2022 Update

So this morning was a new low. I walked in on trash on the floor and weights everywhere. The man-child behind the counter could not be bothered to pick any of it up, and spent so long fitting on rubber gloves while the rest of us waited for paper towels that I finally went into the restroom and brought out a role for everyone.

I do not work at Crunch. And very shortly, I wouldn't be lifting here anymore.

Terrible: I work out here because depending on the time you'll have a good experience. But, watch out, there is a huge surplus of a certain clientele that really, really believe they are the only people working out and will often hustle you (physically sometimes) off equipment, or harass you with their friends, and or just literally stand right behind you until you give in or give up. I'm a big person, physical I mean, patience-wise I've had it with this gym. The worst are the employees, no one will take responsibility to change anything.

You're better off running laps outside, or a couple push-ups at home. I mean it, not worth it.

Also, been like 8 weeks and ground floor drinking fountains still don't work. Some employee put up little printed signs and posted them throughout the gym, mostly on the mirrors, encouraging people to take pride in their gym and keep it looking clean. Seriously?

Never go to this gym, stuff is NOT professional, I came to the gym in the slippers because I am doing arms and chest today, and this guy and woman said that I have to train in the shoes, they even could not find this rule, this is why they just said, “we don’t like your face and you can not train in your slippers or we call police” . And it’s not only one reason that this gym is the worst in sd, their pool is always closed and equipment is broken or old, floor is dirty.

Gym got a whole bunch of new equipment! Pool is clean and fun to swim in. Staff is friendly and hooked a membership up for a good rate!

Very clean great to workout at a lot of machines to use an choose from. And a pool to use also same as any other gym muscle milk and protein bars. Decent staff to help with any questions. I would recommend to come here to workout.

Crunch Fitness in El Cajon has been an excellent experience to base my workouts. I recently switched gyms and their motto of No Judgments has not disappointed. There are people of all levels and goals here, with none of the "in-crowd" mentality I've experienced in the past. The staff and the members have been extremely inclusive and friendly, and willing to help with any questions I've had. They've also updated the entire gym and its equipment. All of the machines are in working order and in greater number, so it's not difficult to rotate through your whole workout. Well worth the membership.
