I recently went to Core Connections in Scotts Valley.
I was seen almost right away by Kelly who is a very experienced PT.
I’ve had worsening knee pain for a while.
I felt listened to & very well taken care of by Kelly who explained what was going on and immediately gave me some exercises to help relieve the pain.
I was so impressed her level of expertise, her care and the generosity of her time.
When I got my MRI results, she took a lot of time to explain & go over them with me on the the phone. What fantastic care!!
I’m very happy with my experience and feel that I’ve found the right place to begin my recovery.

I have been working with Kelly on a neck issue I have had for 10 years now. I was able to get short term relief from Chiropractic work and massage, but it would always comeback. Kelly worked with me first figuring out where the problem was stemming from and why, then through education, body movement, physical manipulation, and then very specifically focused exercises and stretching she was able to resolve years of debilitating pain and discomfort. It’s been an incredible experience working with her. I have learned so much about my body position, movement, and prevention with incredible results, I can’t thank her enough!

Kelly and Denise are true healers! Can't say enough about how satisfied I am with their work. I first started coming in 2020 at 50 to address a lingering neck and shoulder problem that a chiropractor had been working on for over 5 years. Kelly had me pain free in less than 6 months. I came back in 2021 to address a chronic ankle injury that require PT after major joint fusion surgery. And thanks to K & D, I was back to ice hockey in no time; my surgeon was very impressed with the recovery time. Not only did they address the specific injury with various rehab modalities but they also worked with me to address the root cause of my injury with various exercises. Kelly and Denise make sure you get the care you need and spend a full hour with you. And they have all types of equipment including Pilates equipment to target any particle muscle or exercise needed. A word of advice: do your homework exercises, it makes all the difference!!!

Worked with Kelly the physiotherapist after hip surgery. Kelly really worked on my "problem" areas and gave my hip a great workout. She also gave me an exercise plan to do at home. She was very professional but also very friendly and I felt very confident and safe during our sessions.Kelly really helped me to get back on my feet .
Although I worked mostly with Kelly I also had some sessions with Denise, another physiotherapist , who was also excellent.
Had a few therapeutic massages with Maria too - she certainly was able to focus on my stiff muscles and gave a very good deep massage.

I had a total knee replacement about 1 1/2 years ago that has not gone well. I've seen 2 different physical therapists so I was reluctant to see Kelly and didn't expect much. She took the time to talk to me about my issues and my past, asked good questions and when she began to access my knee by movement and with feeling different areas of my knee and leg she quickly found a very sore spot and focused on it. I had surgery for a lateral patella retinaculum release over 20 years ago which I had neglected to tell her about. Oops! I had reoccurring problems with that split tendon for years but basically forgot about it because of the total knee replacement, until she asked. Her assessment was the old surgery developed scar tissue and enlargement which was adding to problems of proper recovery of the TKR. I hadn't even considered this (nor did 2 surgeons and 2 other physical therapists). She worked on that area (ouch in a good way) and sent me home with some new exercises and stretches. Dare I say I'm optimistic about improvements for the first time in a long while. Thanks Kelly!

I was diagnosed with "hallux rigidus" ( stiff big toe caused by arthritis in the toe joint). I was told to wear specific brands of shoes with stiff soles, and to never go barefoot, avoiding any movement in the toe joint. I was told that I would eventually need surgery when the pain became unmanageable, and that physical therapy would not help. Maybe the ordinary physical therapist who spends 15 minutes on a patient could not have helped, but Kelly Otis structures her practice in a very different way. She has my toe moving pain free! Kelly works on you herself for the entire hour as a problem solver. She is able to identify the original source of the problem, which may have occurred years ago, and work from that point. I highly recommend Kelly for anyone wanting to improve mobility and eliminate pain that is interfering with an active lifestyle.

Forever Grateful. She saved us! My husband crawled into her office after being bed bound and he walked out. It was nothing short of a miracle (and her high level of skill and care). My husband herniated a disc and the xray looked severe--a chip broke off. The surgeons recommended surgery. He was in immense pain and could not move. Kelly was cautious and ensured we had xrays and surgeon input, while working with him to improve mobility and cope with pain. She also understands xrays and was able to make sense of all of various conflicting information we had received. She did virtual sessions when he couldnt come in-which worked amazingly well. She responded to us when we were in crisis immediately. Her work with him prevented his surgery and enabled him to gain true strength and healing. She worked on the underlying issues that no one else had helped him do after multiple chiropractors, and osteopaths and PTs. A friend has referred her to us with similar results. We are lucky to have her locally. Thank you Kelly!

Kelly is the most accomplished Physical Therapist I have ever met. She listens and she sees and she challenges. I call her clairvoyant, but Kelly is competent, expert to the point where my subtle issues seem OBVIOUS to her. What an asset for Santa Cruz County! Definitely core to my care team from now on! (over 60, multiple laminectomies and hip replacements) Do you want to remain mobile? Go see Kelly, again and again and again!
