Highly recommend! I had a really great surf with Rafael as a pretty much beginner surfer! He helped me catch a bunch of waves, offered really great advice to improve my positioning and my balance on the board. Thank you Ed for coordinating my surf, making sure I was able to have just the Santa Cruz surf experience I was looking for, and also for renting me the board when I felt ready to surf on my own. Also for the great energy. Stoked to now be an official member of Club Ed 😂 thanks again

Rick is a terrible teacher. We had a semi-private lesson for 2 students. We were surfing for the first time ever. I was there with my cousin. I am a good swimmer but my cousin is much better than me. Rick was swimming really fast with my cousin and the fact that I was struggling with paddling somewhere far into the bay wasn’t bothering him. I was always really far away from him, because my arms aren’t that strong and I probably did a few things not in the optimal way. He should be there and show me what are my mistakes. He completely ignored the fact that I am his student. He was waiting for the wave, somewhere far away from me and was just telling me to come to him. He ignored me when I told that I can’t make it anymore because I’m exhausted. He helped me with catching one wave, which went quite well. Before the second one he told me to go as far as I can and to reach the beach because we are running out of time. When I reached the beach and looked at the watch, I saw that my lesson should last for 40 more minutes. My cousin was still surfing with him when I was at the beach. I was felling ignored by him. He gave me a few good surfing tips, but that’s all.

I do a lot of different sports and I really love them. Rick has put me off surfing so much that it makes me sick just thinking about this wonderful sport. I will never recommend this school to anyone.

My daughters love taking lessons through Club Ed. They go to Ed’s summer camps and like to take lessons periodically throughout the year.
