I did clown courses before, mostly I did not feel very good afterwards. But it was still my most beloved dream to become a real clown and do clowning in a way I could be proud of myself. Then I found Misha. He simply is the best teacher I ever had. He is very, very kind and has (the rare) gift to find all students individual clown. It is really amazing to experience that in a course with him, you see emerge all the different clowns in all the other students. I did classes with him and work now individual, just performed my first act and I felt "at home" at the stage in a way I never thought possible. I am very happy to keep on working with this amazing teacher (and person).

The art of improvisation clown course exceeded my expectations. The course broke down the most important elements that helps a person discover and live into their own unique clown . Misha has both a deep soulful and practical understanding of how to help each person develop their own clown. He also has a gift with working and seeing what supports each participant’s individual process. I for one have had many questions, blocks and confusion around own my successes and failures as a performer and through Misha’s course I now have great clarity and most of all a renewed sense of determination and inspiration to create and perform w a lightness in my heart. I feel inspired “ to serve” as Misha says without listening to the fear and the oppressive voices of the ego ! I finished the online course with Misha some weeks ago. Misha is so experienced and talented that he can easily find your strenghts in order to develop them and your limits in order to exceed them. That is possible just because of the big experience Misha has!

When I stumbled upon the Professional Clown Institute with Mikhail Usov I had no idea what I was getting into. I had already studied with several great teachers, but this was different. Misha is laser focused on the work. He has a plan, specific homework assignments, and a good eye for making ordinary things hilarious. A number of people have told me that the school is expensive. I say my money has been well spent. The school is worth the cost. My only regret is that I didn’t have the opportunity to learn from Misha many years ago. 5 out of 5 stars for sure.

I’m always looking forward to the next lessons with Misha. He creates such a warm and pleasant atmosphere that you can be yourself.
Misha is very creative. If someone of us is stuck with the sketch he has a lot of funny and helpful ideas how to preceed. In addition he tells interesting, funny and helpful stories of his experiences as a clown. That is something that you would never find in a book.
What impressed me most is how flexible Misha can react. We are all different in our backround and our character and Misha gives everybody personal special advice. So at the end everybody can not only develop his or her own character but also develop a very personal unique style.
