My husband and children started their journeys here over a year ago and this place has done nothing but good things for our family. Very glad we listened to recommendations to give Claudio Franca BJJ a try. Wonderful instructors and leadership in both the kids and adult classes (and Ameia is so kind and helpful); awesome community of both students and family. None of that crazy aggressive/competitive mean spirited stuff—it’s a solid, positive community where everyone wants to see each other at their best. Highly recommend!

I came to Claudio's with a background mainly in Muay Thai and some MMA training, but with a desperate need for improvement of my ground game. I have now been there for a few years and can say it's one of the best gyms I have belonged to. With locations in Watsonville and San Jose, I can train no matter where my work takes me in the area since I am an over the hill commuter. The kids classes are always fun with plenty of younger kids and pre teens. The morning classes are usually a little smaller which is great for some personal attention. The night classes and Saturday AM are much larger and generally a bit more competitive. Tons of competitors and a few pro's. Overall great atmosphere and highly recommended.

Sadly couldn't find receptionist to sign up on Monday. Instructor was busy with students. Be back Wednesday to try again for beginners class.
