I've had the privilege of being able to work with Julia over the last four years. In the beginning I had reactivity issues with my German Shepherd dog and she was affective, clearly communicated what I needed to do, and ultimately helped me be able to control the issue I had with my dog. I have only been met with professionalism, integrity, and the best interest for me and my animal. I highly recommend her to anyone needing obedience training for their dog.

I was at the end of my rope with my new puppy's biting issue. I called Julia and I'm so very happy that I did. She has extensive knowledge and experience with dogs and taught me tools to fix the problems and enhance my relationship with my pup. She did not use harsh methods, but rather a calm, intuitive approach, and my puppy enjoyed every minute of his training session. I have used many trainers with various dogs over the past 40 years and I truly believe that Julia is the best. I highly recommend her.

I recently hired Julia to help me with my 2-year-old BC-Aussie mix who has been very skittish around strangers--particularly men--and stopped coming to me when I called her. She was also pulling me on walks, instead of walking at heel. I had taken her to the big box pet store's (you know who I mean) "puppy training" classes; but you don't get the one-on-one reinforcement that you get with Julia. It was a total waste of money; but I feel that what I invested in Julia's training was worth every penny. My dog now walks at heel--on AND off leash--and comes when I call her off leash. Julia made me more aware of how I communicate with my dog and the tone I use with her, plus taught me the proper way to correct her behaviors through this clearer, simpler communication. I still have a ways to go to reinforce what we've learned; but there's a HUGE difference already! I highly recommend Julia to anyone who needs help with their dog and is willing to listen and apply what she teaches.

I do not recommend her. She is very expensive and makes you pay up front with lots of promises that she is not able to keep. She was rough with my dog and didn’t help him with the problem that we were having with him, and then blamed me when her methods with him weren’t working even though I did what she told me to do. I went to Allie at Sunset Kennels and had wonderful results with reasonable rates. Allie was much gentler, more professional, and treated me with respect. The methods that Julia used for a dog reactive puppy that was not able to be socialized due to Covid-19 just made him worse or he behaved out of fear when she handled him. She grabbed his face and ears the last time that I worked with her and that is when I had enough. Even though we were only three months into my six-month sessions she would not refunded me any of my $1,800. I think this is very poor business practice. Over charge, over promise, and under deliver. If you work or have other commitments it is nearly impossible to get a training session. The last time I did try to schedule with her she didn’t even respond. Truly stay away from this trainer.

Julia helped me so much with my rescue Anatolian Sadie. Sadie was fearful and had terrible separation anxiety so bad she had to be on medication She almost destroyed my home! After training with Julia Sadie is happier and more relaxed and can hang out in the house and go for walks that are pleasant. To me she is a miracle worker
