I really like being there taking some adult classes and practicing as my private. Very friendly and welcoming environment for beginners to professionals. Strong skilled instructors. Big range of dance classes from kids to adults.
My favorite classes are Tahitian dance by Dylan Vincent. Not only the technics, we learn so much about the cultural backgrounds. I love that authenticity.

Also the studio space is amazing for seasonal showcases!!

Got scammed by this place, be very careful. When my partner lost interest, I called in to cancel the recurring payments. I was told I will still get charged for the next month, which I was not happy about, but agreed and moved on. About a year later when checking my bank statement, I noticed to my surprise, that I was still getting charged for the whole year! When contacting the owner, she refused to give any sort of refund. She recognized me, knew that my partner stopped coming there, but still was perfectly fine with stealing my money every month... Really sad that there are small businesses that act more predatory than some big franchises.

Spectrum Dance Center is Orange County’s premiere dance studio. If you want to dance for fun or as a professional some day, this is the place to be. The entire staff is professional and talented. I highly recommend studying Jazz Dance with Janell Burgess if you want to hone your technique (and have fun). She is a true master of her craft and loves sharing her wisdom and passion for dance with her students. A+++

I teach here & I learn here. What I appreciate about Spectrum is the Diversity in Class Offerings & Instructors. I feel supported by my studio and colleagues and this shows in my class enrollment. Many of us take each other’s classes! Another huge bonus: the class offerings for Adult Beginners & Late Bloomers! It’s no nice to see Adult Beginner dancers at the studio! Spectrum has space and community and I’m so grateful!

I am so grateful my daughter found Spectrum Dance…at 12 years old, she didn’t have much dance experience before starting, yet was welcomed with open arms. Janell is amazing and made my daughter feel right at home. The variety of classes for kids is outstanding and I love that she’s being exposed to different cultural dances. Happy we found this studio!

Spectrum Dance Center has everything! I have a professional modern dance company, NBDT, and we have been teaching and rehearsing at this studio for two years. The studios are spacious and we’ve been able to collaborate with the owner’s company on performances. We are so happy working here and all our students cross over to other dance styles taught here. It is truly an artists’ home!

Spectrum Dance Center is a gem!!! The vibes of the entire studio and staff are so positive and delightful. ☀️ I’ve been to several dance studios in OC and this is the first studio that feels like a family - the teachers are attending each other’s classes and always recommending us to try other classes. It feels like such a supportive adult environment!

This review is mainly going to be for Dylan’s Tahitian dance classes! For some background, I’ve dabbled in different styles of dance but haven’t taken a dance class since before the pandemic. At the start of 2024, I wanted to get back into dance and decided to look into Spectrum Dance Center. Janell was the one that picked up the phone and helped answer all of my questions. She convinced me to do a trial week of different classes. I was also traveling in the middle of the week, and Janell was so accommodating and let me split up my trial week and gave me extra time! She even continued to text me throughout my trial to check up on me. So after trying out different classes, I was immediately settled on DYLAN’S TAHITIAN CLASSES!

Dylan’s teaching style is amazing and he is SO FUN!! Tahitian dance has beautiful deep cultural roots and Dylan is passionate about sharing the culture. We learn the meanings behind moves and songs and the Tahitian vocabulary, which is something I really appreciate. I love how Dylan explains the feelings of a song and breaks down each move to each lyric. Currently Dylan teaches 2 days a week, one day is a more high intensity day (mostly dancing to drum beats) and the other day is a lower intensity, graceful dancing day. Dylan calls it ?️ day and ? day, respectively. I have really been enjoying both styles of classes. We learn new short routines and also add onto existing choreo. My thighs were on fire the very first day haha but I feel my stamina improving after taking Dylan’s classes!

If you’re looking for a new style of dance to try, give Tahitian a go!!! It feels beautifully feminine, grounding, and it is a CARDIO workout!! I’ve found a new love in this dance form ?
