I’m not going to try to tank their ratings, but this worth sharing with other curious people. I’m an out of towner who wanted to purchase a daypass. The website is very basic with no details about daypasses, which are very normal for serious gyms. I called several times no answer. Took a ride down to the gym and you cannot open the door for security reasons it seems. The instructions outside to call are useless. Nobody picks up at the google voice number. I peeked in and saw a beautiful gym. It was clean, looked like there was an open wall or door for good ventilation. Not a lot of people inside. I’m heading to another bodybuilding gym on a different side of town unfortunately. After this experience it’s very unlikely I’ll use the venue on trips to LA. In most of my travels I visit bodybuilding gyms. I know they can be niche, lean organizations that aren’t very staffed but this was weird. To anyone considering a visit from out of town don’t go without confirmation AND don’t let your ride pull off before you’ve gotten through the door.

Barring the neighborhood which made me potently nervous, it's crowded to the max with machines that could easily be replaced with a few power racks. The benches outdoors made me nervous, and what squat racks did exist were nerve-wracking. Maybe this is it for hardcore metal-blasters, but for a casual pop powerlifter, this ain't it chief.

Hands down the best gym in Los Angeles. Private, very friendly, great price, and a ridiculous amount of great equipment. Sadly I am only here another week to enjoy it. But anyone looking for a real bodybuilding gym this is your spot. Drive 30-45 minutes each way happily to workout at Hardcore.

This gym is truly a hidden gem. The owner is very friendly and he signed me up right away. The equipment here is far superior than any commercial gym!
