Poor financial decision on my part. This program is only for advanced players (or people that have tons of free time). I contacted Sonora after viewing their ad on social media and everything sounded great. They proposed lifetime access to their curriculum and a 6 month mentorship program for $7800. I have been playing for years, never in a band, and wanted to improve my skills. I thought I would have lifetime access to all videos and classes, and only the mentorship program would end after 6 months. Now that I have 1 lesson remaining, I am told all will go away other than the curriculum which is all pre-recorded. I even tried to get my money back after the first month but they sold me on a different teacher - after 30 days I was not able to get a refund. $4,000 of the fee was for the 6 month mentorship program and you only meet 12 times with your mentor ($300 per lesson!!)!! I'll eat the loss of $ and will learn from it, sadly, but wanted to put this out there so someone else may not suffer the same. Not a scam, but I definitely feel like I got scammed. Beware of their friendly sales staff they will trick you in order to get your $!!

I’m familiar with virtual learning over the years, and Sonora represents the best of the best. World class Instructor's, curriculum, quest speakers, commitment to continuous improvement, timing in presentation, and a kindness and empathy that keeps me going when frustration strikes. Although at first this program seemed a little pricey, WOW - was it worth it. Everything about the curriculum, the teachers, coaches and instructors is 150% geared to helping you progress. Worth every penny, and every hour spent learning

SGI is a great place to be if you're interested in actively pursuing your guitar playing dreams! There is awesome support and excellent mentors that actually care about your questions and your progress. I highly recommend it, but only if you're serious about your guitar playing.

The team at Sonora has always been responsive and dedicated to providing a user friendly approach to learning the core concepts of music theory and learning how to navigate the fretboard. the course allows one to feel comfortable as the we progress through different stages of proficiency. Sonora's interactive approach to learning from home is very refreshing in a world of endless subscriptions I am happy to have made the plunge and dedicate some time to learn.

I am just really enthused about this program. For the first time I am getting hold of the neck and really learning. Sometimes in the early stages it was honestly like swimming through mud; but I hung in there and am making genuine progress. I would recommend this regime to any serious student of the guitar. In my estimation it is worth every penny,

Like many players, I had reached a plateau and felt like I hadn't improved in years when I found Sonora (it was guitar mastery intensive back then!) I finished the program more than a year ago and then signed up with the fellowship program to continue my studies with a mentor - in essence to try and apply the fundamental skills I learned at Sonora. This program is pricey, and I thought for over a year before enrolling. But here's the thing - you get what you pay for. There is no magic in becoming an excellent musician - you need to practice. Sonora doesn't sell a pill you take, they have created a community to help guide you, and a curriculum that (when you practice) really helps get your head around the guitar. If you are serious about practicing and learning, Sonora is an excellent resource, and for me, money well spent. Sure, you can go figure it out on your own and save the money, but that will take you many, many years. I'd rather learn faster and pay some excellent teachers to help me along the way. In the long run the program is more effective and probably cheaper than doing it on your own. I'll end with this - I don't waste money on programs anymore. Sonora gave me what I wanted. I have a lifetime of practice to keep me busy, and my money, when I spend it, is now spent on master classes with excellent teachers who I never could have studied with before.
