Outstanding Jiu Jitsu Experience for All Ages!

I can’t say enough good things about Big Break Jiu Jitsu in Oakley! Both my kids and I have been training here, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing.

The kids’ program is fantastic—my children have gained confidence, discipline, and self-defense skills while having a blast in a supportive environment. The instructors are patient and engaging, making each class fun and educational.

As for the adults’ program, it’s equally impressive. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help, whether you’re a beginner or have prior experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I've made great friends while improving my skills.

I’ve trained at many places and this place is an absolute hidden gem. Where else can you go where there’s a husband/wife duo that are both black belts. It’s the best of both worlds.

The technique is easy to understand and myself, being on the smaller size female, had Sam, who helped me “get heavy”. I love how they’re focused on the safety of the students and require a “check in” before attending your first class.

I do not live in the area but will make it a point to stop in every chance I get!

One of the best Jiu-jitsu academies that I've trained at. David and Samantha are both amazing instructors!!! And all of the members are great!!! Great training partners and awesome community... everyone is like family!!! Definitely a great environment to train at and learn the art of jiu-jitsu with my kids.

I highly recommend Big Break, this place is awesome! Best decision I ever made is coming here. From the very first day everyone was super friendly, David and Sam made me feel right at home and welcomed.
They are open now 7 days a week! You are definitely going to get more one on one training here to advance your training. David really knows how to instruct so you learn and retain what he is teaching.
Glad I decided to come here and make this place my home away from home!

A place of growth and community. I have really enjoyed the 2+ years in this community. The ride has been absolutely beneficial for my quality of life. Losing around 65 lbs has obviously been great for me, but the community behind this has been great for my overall quality of life. My confidence and love for jiu jitsu started here. David and Samantha have the strongest passion for jiu jitsu with a resume to prove it. Considering I haven't felt this good I am going to use this as a way to say thank you. If you have an interest in jiu jitsu I wouldn't hesitate to contact them.
