We adopted our one-and-a-half-year-old puppy dog, Finnigan, from our local shelter. He had the usual shelter dog issues- separation anxiety, a bit barky, terrible on the leash, etc. Before we brought him home for good, we chose to use Ace Dog Training to give him the best start in our home and with our family. It was the best decision we've ever made! Brent (owner and trainer) had him for three weeks and he brought back a very happy, confident, well-trained, and polite pup. Finn is our 17-year-old son's dog and after a few days, I realized that he (son) wasn't doing everything Brent showed him to do before and while on a walk with Finn, so I contacted Brent and he was back at our house within days! He spent about 45 minutes (one-on-one) out on a walk with Finn and my son and showed him each step again. He was very patient with him (my son, as the fault was not with Finn, but rather my son not following instructions). My son now walks Finn exactly as Brent instructed and they have a ton more fun on their daily walks. Brent also brought Finn back fully crate trained (hallelujah!) and with his crate-only toys, he happily chills in his crate when we're not home without whining or howling (this has been verified by many neighbors). I truly can't recommend Ace Dog Training more for anyone who wants a happy and relaxing home with a furry friend by their side. Brent is super friendly, professional, kind, and most importantly- he's a natural with dogs. I especially love that he sent videos and pictures while training and the free return training visits are an AMAZING perk that makes his services even more worth it! Thank you for everything Brent!!

Brent was great. We did the 3 week board and train and it was worth every penny. Our dog came back obedient and attentive. Everything he promised he delivered. I would recommend Brent to anyone looking to have a well trained good dog. 5 stars all around.

I sent my English Labrador puppy to Brent with uncertain expectations as I have never used a dog trainer before. My puppy Rocket, who is just under a year old, came back a new dog. She's still the awesome little pup she always has been but, now her behaviors are enhanced and she is fantastic. Brent did a wonderful job with her and I am very grateful to him for his efforts. Rocket was very happy with Brent and you can tell the dogs Brent works with really enjoy being with him and his relationship with the dogs is paramount to the effectiveness of the training and awesome outcomes. Brent also spent time with my wife and I so we understood the commands so we had the appropriate level of knowledge to continue Rocket's training which is a lifelong journey. I can't say enough positive things about Brent and how great of a job he did training Rocket. Ace Dog Training Services is worth every penny and I recommend Brent to anyone looking to get their dog to a solid level of understanding and positive behaviors.

We adopted Rocky from woods humane society and we knew he was going to need a lot of help. A month in we knew we couldn't do it on our own and we needed to seek professional training. From the start working with Brent was amazing. He sent updates, pictures and videos along the way. We opted for the month long boarding training and are so happy we did. Today I am happy to say rocky is thriving . We are so grateful for Brent and everything he did and even all the support he gave when rocky came home. We consider Brent a part of our family now. Two weeks before we were scheduled to move from our home in the country, a beautiful German Shepherd mix puppy was abandoned in our neighborhood. I frantically looked for a GOOD home for her as I didn't want her to be adopted and neglected. Ace Dog Services was referred to me. Brent came to my home and gave the puppy a temperament assessment and examination. He offered to take the puppy and give her all necessary veterinary work including vaccinations, de-worming, and spaying her, then he would carefully place her with a responsible, caring family. I was apprehensive but knew of Brent's work through others who highly recommended him. Since then, he has stayed in contact with me and brought the puppy to me twice so I could see her again. He has made an untrained, frightened, unsocialized puppy into a healthy, confident, outgoing, and beautifully-trained young dog. His dogs have socialize her so that she is now comfortable around other dogs and comfortable in many more new situations. Brent works with her daily to safely and carefully expose her to the many new experiences that we take for granted but which may terrify your puppy. I highly recommend Brent at Ace Dog Training for his kind, understanding work. He will help you have the relationship you wanted when you got your puppy.

Ace Dog Training is awesome. Brent came over for a consultation and was very transparent about his training style. He sent us videos and photos every week (we did the 3 week program) and he was proactive in following up after training was complete. Our dogs still have their crazy personalized but actually listen (most of the time) now.

Brent is an amazing trainer with extensive knowledge and understanding of dog behavior. My dog Roscoe was and is fearful, a trait that can be easily mistaken for aggression. Brent helped us understand Roscoe's behavior and trained US how to manage his fear in a positive manner . Brent truly takes the time and makes the effort needed to fit your individual situation, something that was a struggle for us with multiple trainers previous to Brent. We highly recommend Brent!!!
