Great pricing and Coolest and Kindest Owner with more variety than you could think of. He does DIY parties and sells Yoga pants, bamboo soft socks, dresses, bandanas and more. It worked great for my tie dye themed day at work. I just called and the owner directed me how to arrive given it is in an industrial area in Scotts Valley.

I visited A Brighter World while they were in Santa Cruz pre-pandemic and was so impressed by the artistry that was in this cute little shop that I bought a shirt and have kept it all these years. It’s one of my most cherished items because I was able to meet the incredibly kind gentleman behind the beautiful piece - he relayed his attention and care for details with such passion! I found myself in the area and checked to see if they were still in business and was so relieved to find they were! I noticed they moved to Scotts Valley, not too far from Santa Cruz! We made the drive and found they had so many onesies, shirts, dresses and sweaters - all handmade beautifully and ready for purchase. We didn’t have a ton of time on our hands so this was absolutely perfect for us! I’ve had two babies since the last time I visited so I was so excited to see they had a whole line of children’s clothing! I brought my items home from our little day trip and my toddler daughter gasped with excitement and raved about how amazing it is! I was also so excited to hear they have become a vendor for some Northern California festivals and such! Highly recommend visiting their shop to purchase some shirts or tie-dye kits, or create some shirts yourself, or call to book them as a vendor, or call/email to schedule for them to come to you for your event! They could not be any sweeter snd this could not have been a better experience. I wish them the best! We will definitely be back!

We recent brought our four year old son to your create a tie dye t-shirt at A Brighter World for the first time. We had no idea how to create a tie dye t-shirt on our own. However, Jeremy, walked us through every step. He was extremely friendly and truly made my son feel comfortable. My son had a great time making his very own tie dye t-shirt. My son said his tie dye t-shirt is his favorite shirt. I would highly recommend A Brighter World to any one who loves tie dye! Thanks for an awesome experience, Jeremy!

My partner and I found A Brighter World whilst looking for tie dye shirts in SC and also something to do that afternoon, we definitely came to the right place! Jeremy is a top dude and walked us through the process, sharing his knowledge and skills whilst also making it fun. We were both really happy with our end results, they look amazing! Been buying dye's from "J" for well over 20 years. Somehow he's able to make them so that even after years of wearing and washing (yes Washing! Not all hippies are dirty!) the colors stay strong! One of the best Tie Dye artists ever! He even makes very uncommon things upon request.
It's awesome to be able to buy the best dyes from a Grateful Dead concert parking lot 20+ years after the real tour ended. ;-(
Highly recommend brightening up your world with Tie Dyes from A Brighter World whether you're in Santa Cruz or Calling the store and placing a phone order. If you're in Santa Cruz, spending time in the studio with instruction or even just a little direction is something everyone should experience!

Amazing people, super friendly. Loved the designs, went there on a day trip down from the East Bay with my fiancé and her father. He’s an older gentlemen who loves counterculture so he felt right at home just as we did! Picked up a beautiful heart charm and Dead pin and was sent off with a wholesome good bye!

This is the total Santa Cruz Experience, Tie dye's, crystals and the Grateful dead. The owner Jeremy is full of incredible stories of his journeys with the Grateful Dead and he is incredible with children, making this the best place to bring the family to hand make your own tie dye items, clothes, socks, sheets, blankets, dresses for women and children and your pets.
